Workshops and offices improvement techniques

Lean Manufacturing

How to raise awareness about the three fundamental tenets of Lean Manufacturing: Standardisation, Multi-skilling and Polyvalence and the application of the 5S and SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies).

The maximisation of profit through resource optimisation requires a layout centred on the product and an optimal flow of customer-required elements. This will result in a continuous reduction of non-essential inventory and elimination of unplanned stoppages and deviations.

By applying the most prevalent Kaizen techniques and tools, progress teams can achieve considerable enhancements in economic outcomes in regards to Quality, Costs, Delivery and Service.

The objectives of the Workshop and Office Improvement Techniques course are:

  • To raise awareness of the benefits of using reduced resources and methods to achieve competitiveness.
  • To equip those who are responsible for and involved in continuous improvement with the required theoretical and practical knowledge of the most suitable techniques and tools.
  • To persuade participants to prioritize activities for improving situations or eliminating problems, and to educate them on easily handling problem-solving procedures (QCS) and applying the seven classic quality tools (7QC).
