Boosting the 3 basic pillars of the Workshop (5’S + operations standardisation + multi-skilled workers).
Work organization and productivity techniques and tools
A strong workshop is the basis for success in improving the results of any production system (regarding quality, cost, delivery time and safety).
The optimisation of the three pillars (5'S + operations standardisation + multi-skilled workers) will allow the most effective and efficient interrelation of each of the 4 M's (Manpower, Materials, Machines and Working Methods).
The strengthening of the three pillars, together with the corresponding results control and visual information, are the key to an effective implementation and to the progress of a work system that favours the continuous and systematic elimination of wastage (Mudas).
The objectives of the Boosting the 3 basic pillars of the Workshop course are:
The goal of this course “Promotion of the 3 basic pillars of the Workshop” is to achieve the following:
- Introduce and apply the technical-practical knowledge regarding the 5S's, the standardisation of operations and to train workers to carry out various jobs.
- Enable the participants to understand, by the end of the course, which parameters and results must be obtained in order to establish a situation of continuous improvement.
- Through the implementation of these pillars, it is possible to achieve the following:
- Reduce production costs.
- Achieve a more comfortable, ergonomic and safe working environment.
- Increase the efficiency of the production team.
- Increase staff motivation through job rotation and participation.
This course is aimed at:
- Production Managers and Production and Maintenance Engineers.
- Workshop middle management.
- Process, Quality and Maintenance Technicians.
- Advanced operators.
