On the 24th and 25th October, David Calvo, ITEMSA Managing Director, attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the DMTMA constitution (German MTM Association). A major commemorative event that took place at the Carl Benz Arena in Stuttgart (Germany).
The DMTMA and its 600 associated companies represent more than 3,2 million employees in Germany. The development of the DMTMA labor productivity techniques has played a significant role in the improvement of the competitiveness of German industries.
Well-known speakers from the German industry and the social agents discussed the development of industrial engineering and the MTM role. The peak of the conference was the releasing of the new Handbook of Industrial Engineering, of the German MTM Association (DMTMA).
The conferences coincided with the Board of Trustees and the General Assembly of the International MTM Directorate (IMD). ITEMSA Managing Director, the Spanish MTM Association President, Carlos Blasco and Ramon Font attended the event as representatives of the Spanish delegation. Nearly all the MTM National Associations attended, too.
Moreover, the new MTM-MEK training kit was introduced. Our Managing Director, David Calvo, did also participate in the elaboration of this kit.
“It has been a fantastic meeting. We have known first-hand successful experiences of highly competitive enterprises, as well as opinions and ideas of our German colleagues. Those working sessions will be very useful to optimize part of our know how. At the same time, we have exposed some of the treats of the ITEMSA method, tested during almost 25 years”, underlined David Calvo.
